Planner - Purchasing

SCHROTH is a leading developer and manufacturer of innovative occupant protection and restraint systems for highly specialized aerospace, defense, and motorsport applications. We develop sophisticated technical solutions for international customers in seats, seat belts, airbag technology, and crash safety. We are seeking an experienced Planner to join our Purchasing Department. In this role, you will coordinate material planning activities to ensure the availability of components, parts, and supplies needed to support production schedules. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, solid ERP/MRP experience, and a proven background in planning within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: Review demand forecasts, production schedules, and requirements to create accurate material plans. Maintain optimal inventory levels while preventing shortages or excess stock. Collaborate with buyers to issue purchase requisitions and support timely purchase order execution. Monitor supplier delivery schedules, lead times, and performance; expedite critical materials as needed. Update and maintain accurate planning parameters in the ERP system. Work with departments to ensure smooth material flow. Identify potential supply risks and actively support corrective actions. Generate reports on inventory status, shortages, and planning KPIs. Requirements: Minimum 3+ years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or purchasing—preferably in manufacturing. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field. Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems. Proficiency in Excel and data analysis. Knowledge of aerospace parts, materials, or regulatory requirements is a plus.
