Pizza Receiving Clerk

Job Summary Pizza Twist is hiring a Pizza Receiving Clerk to support daily receiving, inventory, and kitchen supply operations. This role is responsible for receiving food deliveries, verifying quantities and product quality, organizing incoming supplies, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring ingredients are stored properly according to food safety standards. Common Job Roles Pizza Receiving Clerk Food Receiving Clerk Restaurant Receiving Coordinator Kitchen Inventory Clerk Restaurant Supply Clerk Key Responsibilities Receive incoming deliveries of pizza ingredients, beverages, packaging, and restaurant supplies. Verify delivery quantities against purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents. Inspect food products for freshness, quality, packaging condition, and visible damage. Check expiration dates and report expired, damaged, or unacceptable products. Record received goods accurately in inventory systems or receiving logs. Ensure refrigerated and frozen ingredients are stored at appropriate temperatures. Organize and label received products for efficient storage and stock rotation. Follow first-in, first-out (FIFO) procedures to help maintain ingredient freshness. Communicate delivery discrepancies, shortages, and substitutions to management. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure received ingredients are available when needed. Maintain clean, organized, and safe receiving and storage areas. Assist with inventory counts and monitor stock levels. Follow food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and proper handling procedures. Perform additional receiving and inventory duties assigned by management. Requirements Previous receiving, inventory, warehouse, restaurant, or food service experience is an asset but not required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer, data-entry, and recordkeeping abilities. Ability to read invoices, delivery slips, and purchase orders. Understanding of proper food storage and handling procedures is preferred. Ability to lift, carry, and move deliveries safely. Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills Experience receiving food products or restaurant supplies. Familiarity with inventory management and receiving systems. Knowledge of FIFO stock rotation and expiration-date checks. Understanding of refrigerated and frozen food storage requirements. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Good time management and teamwork skills. Commitment to accuracy, cleanliness, and food safety.
