Pizza Purchasing Coordinator

Job Summary Denino’s Pizzeria & Tavern is seeking a detail-oriented Pizza Purchasing Assistant to support purchasing and inventory activities for daily restaurant operations. The successful candidate will help source ingredients, communicate with suppliers, track orders, monitor stock levels, and ensure that the kitchen has the materials needed to maintain consistent food quality and service. Communicate with vendors to request product information, pricing, and availability. Prepare and track purchase orders under management direction. Monitor inventory levels of flour, cheese, tomatoes, meats, vegetables, sauces, and packaging materials. Help compare supplier prices and product quality. Coordinate delivery schedules and follow up on delayed or incomplete orders. Check incoming products for quantity, condition, and accuracy. Maintain organized purchasing records, invoices, and supplier information. Notify management of low-stock items and potential supply shortages. Work with kitchen staff to understand ingredient requirements and purchasing priorities. Follow established food safety and storage procedures. Qualifications and Requirements Previous experience in purchasing, inventory, restaurant operations, or food service is preferred. Basic knowledge of food ingredients and restaurant supplies. Strong organizational and communication skills. Comfortable using spreadsheets, email, and basic computer applications. Ability to review invoices, quantities, and pricing carefully. Good time management and attention to detail. Ability to coordinate with suppliers and restaurant team members.
