Pizza Procurement Associate

Job Summary Pasta Louise Restaurant is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pizza Procurement Associate to assist with sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating ingredients and supplies used in pizza preparation and restaurant operations. This role supports supplier communication, purchase order processing, inventory monitoring, delivery coordination, and product quality checks. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with kitchen teams and vendors to ensure ingredients are available when needed while supporting cost-effective purchasing practices. Key Responsibilities Assist with sourcing and purchasing pizza ingredients and kitchen supplies. Prepare, process, and track purchase orders based on operational requirements. Monitor inventory levels of flour, cheese, tomatoes, sauces, vegetables, meats, and other ingredients. Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, product specifications, and delivery schedules. Review incoming deliveries for accuracy, quantity, freshness, and quality. Maintain accurate procurement records, invoices, receipts, and supplier information. Coordinate with kitchen staff to identify ingredient requirements and replenishment needs. Compare supplier quotes and assist with cost-effective purchasing decisions. Track outstanding orders and follow up on delayed or incomplete deliveries. Support inventory counts and maintain appropriate stock levels. Help ensure purchased ingredients meet established quality and food safety standards. Monitor product rotation and storage practices to reduce spoilage and waste. Report purchasing discrepancies, shortages, and product quality concerns. Assist with evaluating supplier reliability and service performance. Recommend improvements to procurement procedures and purchasing workflows. Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, or restaurant operations preferred. Familiarity with food ingredients and restaurant supply requirements. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Good written and verbal communication abilities. Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets and purchasing systems. Ability to review invoices, track orders, and maintain accurate records. Understanding of food storage, freshness, and inventory rotation. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively with suppliers, kitchen employees, and management. Preferred Skills Knowledge of pizza ingredients, dough products, cheeses, sauces, and toppings. Experience working with food distributors and restaurant suppliers. Familiarity with inventory tracking and food-cost management. Ability to compare vendor pricing and product specifications. Strong supplier communication and coordination skills. Experience using purchase order or inventory management software. Ability to manage multiple purchasing requests and deadlines.
