Pizza Inventory Specialist

Job Summary Lazy Moon Pizza is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Pizza Inventory Specialist to manage inventory records, monitor stock levels, and support the availability of ingredients, packaging materials, beverages, and restaurant supplies. The successful candidate will help maintain accurate inventory data, coordinate stock replenishment, monitor product usage, and reduce waste while supporting smooth daily restaurant operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and effective communication with kitchen staff, management, and suppliers. Key Responsibilities Monitor inventory levels for pizza ingredients, toppings, cheese, sauces, dough, beverages, and packaging supplies. Maintain accurate inventory records using spreadsheets, inventory software, or other approved systems. Conduct routine stock counts and reconcile physical quantities with recorded inventory. Track product usage, identify shortages, and notify management when replenishment is needed. Assist with preparing purchase requests and coordinating orders with approved suppliers. Inspect deliveries for quantity, quality, packaging condition, and consistency with purchase documents. Monitor expiration dates and follow appropriate stock rotation procedures, including first-in, first-out (FIFO). Help ensure ingredients are stored according to applicable food safety and temperature-control requirements. Identify damaged, expired, missing, or excess stock and report discrepancies promptly. Analyze inventory trends to help forecast demand and support purchasing decisions. Maintain organized storage areas and ensure inventory is labeled and easy to locate. Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to anticipate ingredient requirements during busy periods. Support inventory audits and prepare stock reports for management. Recommend practical ways to reduce food waste, prevent overordering, and improve inventory accuracy. Follow company policies and applicable food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in inventory management, supply chain operations, or business administration is an advantage. Previous experience in inventory control, restaurant operations, food service, or stock management preferred. Strong numerical, organizational, and recordkeeping skills. Basic proficiency with spreadsheets and inventory management systems. Understanding of stock rotation, expiration-date monitoring, and food storage practices. Ability to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate records. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet inventory reporting deadlines.
