Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including personal cars, vans, or box trucks, adhering strictly to traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load and unload delivery orders efficiently using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary. Navigate route driving using mobile devices or GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries across designated areas. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers courteously, answering questions, and ensuring their orders are accurate upon delivery. Maintain safe lifting practices when handling food boxes and heavy items during loading and unloading processes. Keep delivery records accurate and complete, including logs of deliveries made and any issues encountered during routes. Follow all safety protocols related to warehouse operations, heavy lifting, manual transmission vehicles, and workplace weight handling standards. Qualifications Previous delivery driver experience preferred, especially with courier or van driver roles involving route driving. Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or box trucks is advantageous. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles comfortably and safely. Strong knowledge of traffic regulations, safe lifting practices, and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor. Physical ability to lift heavy boxes regularly while following safe manual handling procedures.
