Learn more at www.thompsonpipegroup.com. Compensation Starting pay: $26.00/hour What you’ll do Operate heavy equipment productively each shift in all weather and ground conditions. Work with the onsite crew leader to determine methods and equipment needs. Conduct daily inspections and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment. Perform heavy lifts and moves with sand trucks, bobcats, forklifts (10,000–110,000 lb capacity), cranes, and more. Load and unload construction materials, waste, and concrete pipe from flatbeds and into dumpsters—manually or with machinery. Swap attachments, verify information, make adjustments, and troubleshoot issues. Store/clean machinery in designated areas and complete end-of-day work reports. Operate assorted tools and equipment: concrete saws, mixers, air compressors, pneumatic drills/tampers, hand tools, gas trimmers, chainsaws, track loaders, mowers, trucks, street sweepers, backhoes, pump trucks, and dump trucks. Follow all safety procedures and help minimize hazards; report incidents immediately. Physical demands and environment Effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing. Use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulation. Work near moving machinery; exposure to temperature changes, dust, and fumes. Consistent use of PPE: ear plugs, hard hat, steel-toe boots, gloves, and safety glasses. Non-climate-controlled environment with outdoor conditions and distracting noise levels. What you bring Dependability and a safety-first mindset; available up to 6 days/week and up to 12 hours/day in peak periods. Valid driver’s license. Ability to operate a wide range of lift trucks (10,000–110,000 lb). Experience on large forklifts (36,000 lb+) is a plus. Experience loading/unloading precast concrete pipe from flatbed trucks. Organized and detail-oriented; able to maintain documentation and yard product efficiently. Flexible multi-tasker who can support multiple areas as needed. Strong communication skills; bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus. High School Diploma or GED. Not a warehouse position—precast concrete pipes is what we do.
