Packer (9:30 AM – 6:00 PM)- Primarily involves prolonged standing at packing stations, repetitive handling of merchandise, computer-based order processing, and packaging products for shipment. Position Summary Savannah River Fulfillment is seeking dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented individuals to join our warehouse fulfillment team as Pickers and Packers. Both positions play an essential role in ensuring customer orders are accurately fulfilled and prepared for shipment. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are new to the warehouse and fulfillment industry, as previous experience is not required and training will be provided. While both positions require attention to detail, organization, efficiency, and physical activity, the primary difference is that Pickers locate and collect products throughout the warehouse, while Packers verify, package, and prepare those products for shipment. Position Responsibilities Warehouse Picker | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Pickers are responsible for locating and selecting products throughout the warehouse to accurately fulfill customer orders. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy staying physically active and are looking to gain experience in the warehouse industry. Walk extensively throughout the warehouse, typically exceeding 10,000 steps per shift . Locate, identify, and accurately select products based on customer orders. Frequently and repetitively lift, carry, and handle products weighing up to 30 pounds. Utilize handheld scanners and warehouse systems to identify and verify products. Maintain accuracy and efficiency while meeting daily productivity expectations. Identify and report missing, damaged, or incorrect merchandise. Maintain organized inventory locations and clean warehouse aisles. Follow established safety procedures and operational guidelines. Warehouse Packer | 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM Packers are responsible for verifying, organizing, and packaging customer orders to ensure they are accurately prepared for shipment. This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, comfortable using computers, and capable of making thoughtful decisions while maintaining efficiency. Stand for extended periods while processing and packaging customer orders. Accurately verify products, quantities, and order information before shipment. Frequently lift, carry, and handle products and packages weighing up to 30 pounds. Utilize computers, scanners, and warehouse management software to process and complete orders. Demonstrate critical thinking, sound judgment, and independent decision-making when identifying discrepancies and resolving routine order issues. Maintain an organized workstation and manage multiple orders efficiently. Properly select packaging materials and secure merchandise to prevent damage during shipment. Maintain accuracy and productivity while meeting established quality standards. Communicate order discrepancies, damaged products, or other concerns to management. Follow established safety procedures and operational guidelines. Qualifications & Skills No previous warehouse experience required; training will be provided. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn warehouse management systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
