Position Overview: ACQBUILT is seeking a Picker Truck Operator/Labourer. As a member of the Logistics Department the Operator/Labourer is accountable and responsible for the safe transportation of materials to job sites and various labour work. He/she has a responsibility to ensure all legal requirements and maintenance of company equipment is executed. He/she works under limited or no supervision and performs tasks of substantial variety or complexity. Responsibilities Include: Operating a flat deck truck with picker, pick up truck or cube van as required Loading material with forklift, picker or by hand and properly securing Manage urgent deliveries to site and pick up requests by email and phone Clean-up construction sites of excess and waste materials. Maintain a legal Driver’s logbook. Complete pre and post trip inspections and correct or report all defects immediately. Maintain a flow of loads and deliveries to construction sites according to the transportation schedule and its priorities. Reports on status of repairs and maintenance according to schedule for all equipment. Maintain company and OHS safety standards in the work place. General yard maintenance and clean-up. Perform readiness checks. Wash and clean vehicles. Perform additional duties as required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Must be able to push, pull and move equipment and/or material up to 50 pounds. Must be able to distinguish colors. Must be able to prioritize workload effectively. Must have Class 5 or 3 license with clean driver's abstract. Strong understanding of the Edmonton and surrounding areas for effective route management. May require work in hazardous environments requiring protective equipment May be exposed to dust and high noise levels. Manual dexterity required to use pedals and levers. Exposure to outdoor elements. Overtime as required. Must be able to use phone-based apps and outlook effectively. Picker experience an asset. Your career Quest ends here!
