Picker Truck Operator - Equipment Hauler

We’re looking for an experienced Picker Truck Operator – Equipment Hauler to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for safely transporting construction equipment and materials to and from jobsites, operating a picker truck/knuckle boom, and loading, unloading, lifting, and securing equipment for transport. Competitive wages with opportunities for overtime Local work in Edmonton and surrounding areas Boot Allowance is available day one of your start date Annual Family Day Barbeque Health and benefits plan On-the-job training and opportunities to learn new skills Work alongside an experienced team Training opportunities to expand your equipment operating skills Potential winter work supporting snow removal and early spring sweeping operations A team-focused work environment where safety, commitment, attitude, and respect matter What You’ll Do Safely transport construction equipment and materials to and from jobsites Operate a picker truck/knuckle boom to load, unload, lift, and position equipment and materials Load, secure, and transport skid steers and other construction equipment on trailers Complete pre- and post-trip inspections, including crane inspections of welds, hydraulics, and outriggers Read and follow crane load charts and safe lifting capacities Select and use appropriate rigging and hoisting equipment Complete FLHAs and required safety documentation Operate skid steers, including forks for handling rebar and materials, as required Communicate with supervisors and ground personnel to coordinate equipment movements and lifts Follow all company and regulatory safety requirements What You Bring Valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence with a clean commercial driver’s abstract; Class 1 is an asset Previous experience operating a picker truck/knuckle boom Experience hauling, loading, and securing construction equipment Skid steer operating experience Knowledge of rigging, hoisting, and safe lifting practices Ability to read and understand crane load charts Knuckle Boom Training (one-day commercial safety course) for the unit’s 7,947 lb. rated capacity Crane and Hoisting Equipment Operator certification (Boom Truck or Mobile Crane) is an asset Valid First Aid, Fall Protection, and applicable construction safety tickets, including CSTS-2020 or equivalent Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and meet the physical requirements of the position At O’Hanlon Paving and The Fath Group, our core values are Commitment | Attitude | Respect.
