Piano Mover

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Piano Mover and become an essential part of delivering exceptional service through expert handling and transportation of pianos and heavy musical instruments. You will be responsible for safely loading, unloading, and positioning pianos at various locations, ensuring they arrive in perfect condition. Responsibilities Safely load and unload pianos using appropriate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, or cranes while adhering to safety protocols. Transport pianos within warehouses, loading docks, or customer premises with precision and care to prevent damage. Use inventory management systems and RF scanners to track and document all movements accurately. Assist with order picking, shipping, and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery schedules are met. Operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts to move heavy items efficiently. Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies for manual handling, heavy lifting, and equipment operation. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate tasks, maintain organization, and uphold safety procedures. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse operations with a focus on materials handling. Familiarity with order picker operations, forklift driving, crane operation, and heavy equipment handling. Knowledge of inventory management systems and RF scanners is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards. Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying shipments accurately. Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols aligned with OSHA regulations. Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes or warehouse supervision is a plus. Valid certification for forklift operation or heavy equipment is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided.
