SUMMARY The Intercompany Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of food products, inventory, supplies, equipment, and other Company materials between Tapia Brothers Company facilities and other designated locations. Success in this position requires safe driving, reliability, accurate documentation, proper product handling, good communication, punctuality, and the ability to work independently while supporting the transportation needs of Tapia Brothers Company. This position will primarily support the Phoenix operation by transporting products and materials between the Phoenix warehouse and other Tapia Brothers locations, including Maywood, Fresno, and Las Vegas , as assigned. The driver is responsible for ensuring that all products are properly loaded, secured, transported, and delivered while maintaining product integrity and following all Company safety, food-safety, and transportation procedures. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, organized, and able to work independently while maintaining communication with management and warehouse personnel. REQUIREMENTS Class A CDL is required when operating a vehicle that requires a CDL . Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company requirements. Previous commercial driving, delivery, shuttle, transportation, or warehouse experience preferred. Ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle and perform required vehicle inspections. Ability to read and understand bills of lading, transfer documents, delivery paperwork, and written instructions. Ability to accurately complete required transportation and delivery records. Ability to safely load, unload, and secure products. Ability to lift and handle products weighing approximately 50–75 pounds . Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and manage assigned routes and schedules. Strong safety awareness and responsible driving habits. Previous experience in food distribution, cold storage, warehouse distribution, or food transportation (preferred). Previous experience transporting refrigerated, frozen, or perishable products. Previous intercompany transfer or shuttle-driving experience (preferred). Experience operating both standard and automatic transmissions. Experience using electric pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment. Knowledge of food-safety and product-handling practices. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. JOB DUTIES Safely operate Company vehicles to transport products, inventory, supplies, and materials between Tapia Brothers facilities and other designated locations. Transport intercompany transfers between the Phoenix facility and Maywood, Fresno, Las Vegas, and other locations assigned . Follow assigned transportation schedules and communicate any delays, route changes, or operational issues to management. Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Report vehicle maintenance issues, defects, accidents, damage, or safety concerns immediately. Properly load, unload, arrange, and secure products to prevent shifting, damage, contamination, or loss during transportation. Verify product quantities, item numbers, descriptions, and transfer documentation before leaving the facility and upon arrival. Complete bills of lading, transfer paperwork, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection reports, mileage records, and other required documentation accurately. Obtain required signatures and maintain proper documentation for all transfers and deliveries. Maintain appropriate temperatures and follow Company procedures for transporting refrigerated, frozen, and perishable food products. Maintain the cleanliness and sanitary condition of the assigned vehicle and cargo area. Operate pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment as required.
