Pharmacy Technician - Purchasing
Skilled Nursing PharmacyBenefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance POSITION SUMMARY: Under general direction of the purchasing supervisor, takes responsibility for supporting the pharmacy in its goal of maintaining satisfactory inventory levels. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory level based on utilization report and purchase history. Minimize Fill on Arrivals (FOA) orders. Restocking inventory. Manage expired, recalled and returned medications. Monitor and maintain drug files in computer system. Responsible for communicating any changes and all issues to department supervisor. Support and work closely with the department supervisor. Participate with corporate scheduled physical inventories. Other duties as assigned; job duties may vary by location. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Licensed Pharmacy Technician a must. 1+year of experience in a LTC Pharmacy setting and high volume pharmacy is preferred but not required. SCHEDULE: Variable according to business needs. Shift differentials apply to qualified shifts.
