Pharmacy Technician/Pharmacy Cashier

Duties Accurately process prescriptions using pharmacy software, ensuring correct medication, dosage, and patient information Prepare and compound medications, including sterile IV admixtures and aseptic techniques, following strict sterile procedures Assist with medication inventory management, including stock replenishment and expiration date monitoring Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, explaining medication instructions, and addressing concerns with professionalism Handle cash register transactions as a pharmacy cashier, ensuring precise data entry and payment processing Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and other healthcare privacy regulations Support pharmaceutical regulatory compliance by adhering to state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation standards, and hospital policies Experience Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a hospital or community pharmacy setting is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacological medical terminology, and drug regulation standards Experience with pharmacy software systems for data entry and prescription processing Hands-on experience with IV infusion preparation, sterile compounding, and aseptic techniques in an acute care or hospital environment Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations Basic life support certification (BLS) is desirable to ensure safety during patient interactions Familiarity with pharmaceutical calculations and medication administration procedures in compliance with state healthcare regulations Embark on a career that makes a difference!
