Pharmacy Technician/Inventory Specialist

Job Overview As a Pharmacy Technician/Inventory Specialist, you’ll support safe, timely medication services by managing inventory and assisting with pharmacy operations. You’ll handle medication intake, data entry, and inventory tracking while following applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulations, and patient confidentiality requirements. Your impact: Accurate inventory and careful processing help pharmacy teams provide reliable patient care. Responsibilities Receive and process medication orders; enter information into pharmacy software and support intake workflows via phone lines and client text messages. Track, store, and replenish medications; monitor inventory for accuracy and proper handling. Assist with compounding medications and, where qualified, sterile intravenous (IV) admixture and infusion procedures using aseptic technique. Support medication administration workflows and deliver responsive patient and customer service. Follow pharmaceutical regulatory compliance requirements, state healthcare regulations, and established safety procedures. Other responsibilities as described. Requirements Pharmacy technician experience and knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, and pharmacological terminology. Understanding of patient care, patient service, confidentiality, and state and federal pharmacy laws. Relevant experience in hospital pharmacy, hospital or acute care, critical care, clinical pharmacy, long-term care (LTC), or community pharmacy is valued; these are preferred areas, not all required. Experience with pharmacy software, data entry, IV compounding, sterile IV admixture procedures, or IV infusion is preferred. Basic life support (BLS) knowledge or certification is valued where relevant.
