Responsibilities Accurately process medication orders using pharmacy software, ensuring correct data entry and documentation. Assist in medication inventory management, including stock replenishment, expiration checks, and regulatory compliance. Support patient service activities by answering medication-related questions, providing basic counseling under supervision, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation standards, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance throughout all tasks. Perform pharmaceutical calculations for medication dosages, conversions, and compounding procedures with precision. Maintain accurate records of medication administration, inventory logs, incident reports, and other documentation as required by hospital or community pharmacy protocols. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacological medical terminology, and drug regulation standards. Skilled in pharmacy software systems for data entry, medication tracking, and inventory management. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care and effective communication in fast-paced environments. Familiarity with state healthcare regulations and pharmacy laws governing medication dispensing and administration. Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately while adhering to safety protocols for medication handling.
