Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities Prepare and dispense medications accurately following prescriptions and pharmacy protocols Assist pharmacists with medication inventory management, including stock replenishment and expiration tracking Perform pharmaceutical calculations to ensure correct dosages and measurements for all prescriptions Compound sterile IV infusions and admixtures using aseptic techniques in compliance with pharmaceutical regulations Enter prescription data into pharmacy software systems with precision and attention to detail Maintain strict patient confidentiality while handling sensitive medical information in accordance with state and federal laws Support patient care by providing medication information, answering queries, and ensuring timely medication administration in hospital or community settings Skills Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, highly preferred Critical care or acute care experience demonstrating ability to handle complex medication regimens Strong background in clinical pharmacy practices Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and data entry procedures for accurate record keeping Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, drug regulation, and state healthcare regulations Excellent understanding of medical terminology, pharmacological terminology, and drug interactions Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on patient service and care delivery Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately and efficiently under pressure Experience with hospital or hospital pharmacy environments is advantageous Knowledge of aseptic techniques, sterile IV admixture procedures, and maintaining patient confidentiality Embark on a rewarding career that combines technical expertise with compassionate patient care.
