Main responsibilities:
Pharmacy Benefits Operations Specialist assists the Manager, Assistant Manager, Financial Analyst, and Customer Relations team at AVIA Partners on a variety of business objectives including but not limited to data collection/analysis, training, customer service, and metrics reporting. Much of the role will be to assist in the streamlining, efficacy, and execution of the Food is Medicine initiative. Maintenance of and updating of informational resources, instruction guides, and continually seeking best business practice. This role touches all aspects of the business; fostering a team environment that encourages collaboration and support that provides an exceptional customer service level to clients is expected.
- Support all departmental functions.
- Prepare/Collect information for State Licensing requirements/projects.
- Work with each department to create and refine new processes.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic statements/reports for management or various regulatory agencies as requested or as needed for audits.
- Oversee the customer service reporting and analysis by assisting in developing new performance metrics, measurements, methods, and targets to improve insight into the business and operations.
- Receive and resolve member/client questions in a timely manner.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- 2 to 3 years of PBM operations experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and analytical skills with ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Advanced level PC skills with knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Access. Word & PowerPoint)
- High degree of initiative, accuracy, and adaptability
- Self-motivated with the ability to set goals, build strategies and tactics to grow business.
- Ability to meet rigid time constraints and work simultaneously on multiple projects.
- Honest and trustworthy, exhibiting the strongest business ethics.
- Highly effective customer service and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years PBM experience: Understanding how a PBM operates, meets client needs and generates revenue.
- Consistently a business driver and how marketplace focus applies with new business opportunities and clients.
Physical Environment:
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment or via remote work from a home office
- (As of 10/01/25: 4 days in office, Fridays may be worked from home. This is subject to change.)
- Incumbents may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
- Incumbents may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment through the course of the normal workday.
- Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
