Role Description The PFC Pharmacy Support Sortation role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kansas City, MO. This role is responsible for organizing, sorting, and routing prescriptions and related pharmacy items to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment. Day-to-day tasks include verifying prescription labels, preparing orders for shipment, coordinating with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists, and maintaining orderly workstations and storage areas. The role also involves following standard operating procedures, adhering to safety and compliance guidelines, and reporting any discrepancies or issues in prescription handling. The team member is expected to work efficiently in a production environment, meet performance targets, and support overall workflow within the pharmacy fulfillment center. Qualifications Foundational knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication handling, including familiarity with Pharmacy workflows. Ability to work with Prescription processing tasks, including reading labels, organizing orders, and managing prescription documentation. Experience collaborating with Pharmacy Technicians or other pharmacy staff in a fulfillment or healthcare setting. Strong Customer Service orientation, with attention to accuracy, responsiveness, and patient impact. Basic understanding of Compounding processes or willingness to learn compounding-related procedures as applicable. High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework or certification in pharmacy or healthcare support is a plus. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment, including standing for extended periods and handling repetitive tasks. Ability to work effectively in a team, communicate clearly, and maintain professionalism in a regulated healthcare setting.
