Our team works collaboratively across transportation, petroleum distribution, and related operations to provide safe, reliable, and responsive service to our customers. Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatcher to support our Operations team. The successful candidate will coordinate deliveries, communicate with customers and drivers, monitor routes, maintain accurate records, and support day-to-day transportation operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and remains calm and solutions-focused when responding to changing operational needs. Key Responsibilities Dispatch Receive and coordinate orders from internal and external customers. Prioritize deliveries based on urgency, routing, customer requirements, and operational priorities. Dispatch drivers, equipment, and personnel using telephone and computer systems. Monitor delivery routes and provide real-time updates related to traffic, weather, road conditions, and other operational issues. Communicate schedule changes and provide timely information to drivers and customers. Maintain accurate dispatch records and enter information into applicable dispatch and transportation systems. Respond to operational issues and coordinate solutions as they arise. Operations Communicate daily with customers, drivers, production staff, and internal teams. Provide direction and operational support to drivers and production personnel. Coordinate changes to delivery schedules and priorities as required. Assist with maintaining efficient daily transportation operations. Maintenance Coordinate with the maintenance team scheduled and unscheduled vehicle and equipment repairs. Communicate repair requirements and updates to appropriate internal personnel and service providers. Assist with coordinating equipment availability and minimizing operational disruptions caused by maintenance issues. Safety & HS&E Monitor driver logs and applicable records to support regulatory compliance. Support drivers in following company safety policies and applicable transportation regulations. Identify and communicate potential safety or compliance concerns to the appropriate personnel. Promote a safety-focused approach in daily dispatch and operational activities. Qualifications & Skills Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. Additional languages are an asset. Previous dispatch experience in the petroleum transportation industry is an asset. Experience with transportation or fleet-management software, such as Samsara, Office Track, or Carriers Edge, is an asset. Strong computer, data-entry, and technology skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to remain calm, organized, and professional in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated and team oriented.
