Duties Safely operate personal vehicles to transport pets and clients across local routes. Ensure adherence to all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and safety protocols during every trip. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to guarantee optimal performance and safety standards are met. Communicate clearly with clients, veterinary staff, and team members to coordinate schedules, confirm appointments, and provide exceptional customer service. Handle pet aftercare tasks with compassion, including assisting with loading/unloading pets using manual handling techniques while ensuring their comfort and security. Maintain accurate logs of transportation activities, mileage records, and incident reports as required by company policies. Assist in managing emergency situations by following established protocols to ensure pet safety at all times. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or chauffeur driving passenger vehicles such as vans, limousines, or shuttle buses. Strong knowledge of GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and timely arrivals. Experience in medical transportation or handling pets during transit is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, veterinary staff, and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to load or unload pets safely. Familiarity with local driving routes and adherence to traffic regulations is essential. Basic vehicle maintenance skills to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety standards are maintained.
