Person in Charge - Restaurant

Position Summary The Person In Charge (PIC) is responsible for leading the shift, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining Jimmy John's standards, and supporting team members in daily operations. The PIC oversees shift execution, food safety, cash handling, and team performance while helping create a positive and productive work environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Lead and direct crew members during assigned shifts. Delegate tasks and ensure all team members are working efficiently. Provide coaching, training, and support to team members. Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment. Address customer and employee concerns professionally. Operations Management Ensure all Jimmy John's operational standards are followed. Monitor food preparation, quality, and presentation. Ensure fast, accurate order fulfillment for in-store, online, and delivery orders. Open and/or close the restaurant according to company procedures. Maintain restaurant cleanliness and organization throughout the shift. Customer Service Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve guest concerns promptly. Ensure all customers receive friendly, accurate, and efficient service. Support a culture focused on customer satisfaction. Food Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards. Monitor food temperatures, product freshness, and proper food handling procedures. Maintain health department and company standards at all times. Cash Handling & Accountability Manage cash drawers and daily transactions accurately. Perform shift deposits and cash counts when required. Assist with inventory management and product ordering as directed. Qualifications Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred. Leadership or shift management experience preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and professional. Basic math and cash-handling skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout the restaurant. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Availability Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be reliable and able to work scheduled shifts.
