The Opportunity Working directly with our CEO, you will lead warehouse and fulfillment operations through our existing shift lead, collaborate with our Wholesale Director, and help professionalize our processes and workplace culture. This hands-on role combines 65% operations leadership and 35% people leadership and organizational development . We value initiative over instruction, measurable progress over unnecessary meetings, and smart execution over maintaining the status quo. Key Responsibilities 1. Operations Leadership & Fulfillment Excellence Oversee warehouse operations, fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and product preparation. Lead, coach, and develop the fulfillment shift lead and team. Establish clear goals, productivity standards, staffing schedules, and accountability. Ensure accurate, efficient, and timely wholesale and direct-to-consumer order processing. Optimize warehouse layout and workflow; develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Monitor fulfillment KPIs including productivity, order accuracy, labor efficiency, and on-time shipping. Maintain a safe, organized, and effective working environment. 2. Inventory Management & Operational Planning Oversee inventory accuracy, stock organization, availability, and cycle counting. Coordinate purchasing, replenishment, supplier communication, and inbound shipments. Use sales trends and inventory data to support planning and avoid preventable stockouts. Support launches, seasonal events, and wholesale fulfillment requirements. Build scalable capacity plans without unnecessary increases in labor and overhead. 3. Technology, AI & Continuous Improvement Identify practical opportunities for AI, automation, and digital tools to improve workflows. Use data analysis to identify recurring errors, productivity trends, and process improvements. • Develop operational dashboards and effective reporting systems. Evaluate technology based on efficiency, cost, and measurable business impact. Verify AI-assisted outputs and handle business and employee information securely. 4. People Leadership & Employee Development Coordinate recruiting and candidate evaluations with department leaders. Support structured interviews, new-hire training, and position-specific onboarding. Establish individual expectations, performance goals, feedback rhythms, and development plans. Coach emerging leaders and support internal career growth. Address employee performance challenges professionally, constructively, and consistently. 5. Workplace Culture & Organizational Development Foster a positive, respectful, collaborative, and accountable workplace. Strengthen communication across leadership, fulfillment, and other functions. People Administration & Professional Coordination Bamboo Switch® already works with a contracted bookkeeper, Paychex, accounting professionals, and legal advisers.
