Recruitment Notes Position Overview This position is assigned to the Accounting Unit within the Business Services Division of the People & Internal Operations Department. The incumbent processes payments for essential goods and services required for divisional operations, while assisting customers and vendors with their orders and accounts. Because the Business Services Division plays a critical role in supporting the Logistics Unit of the Miami-Dade County Office of Emergency Management during Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activations, the incumbent may be called upon to assist during emergencies. Department Overview The People and Internal Operations Department (PIOD) provides a wide range of internal support services for the ongoing operations of Miami-Dade County, focusing on promoting operational best practices and efficient government operations. PIOD provides various customer-based business services that include, but are not limited to, facilities management, design and construction management, fleet, materials management, and large-scale printing services, along with human resource management. Through these various business lines, PIOD is also engaged in ADA compliance, real estate development and management, parking, and security operations.
