Pelivan Transit Maintenance/Operations Supervisor

Maintenance/Operations Coordinator- Pelivan Transit Pay: $15.00 per hour Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM Position Type: Full-Time Position Summary The Maintenance/Operations Coordinator supports Pelivan Transit’s daily operations by coordinating vehicle maintenance, maintaining records, assisting with driver supervision, and helping ensure vehicles meet applicable inspection and compliance requirements. This position works closely with the Assistant Transit Director and Transit Director to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable transportation services. Key Responsibilities Fleet Maintenance and Management Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs, both in-house and outsourced. Maintain vehicle maintenance records using Microsoft Excel. Assist with vehicle procurement and coordinate ODOT and MOTIVCARE inspections. Oversee security camera operations in coordination with transit leadership. Operations and Driver Support Assist with driver supervision, staffing, time-off coordination, and disciplinary matters. Communicate with drivers and dispatchers to address operational needs. Serve as a backup driver when needed to maintain service continuity. Learn and use RTA transportation software with guidance from the Assistant Director. Administrative and Technical Support Maintain accurate fleet and operations records. Use transportation-related technology and learn applicable software, inspection procedures, and maintenance processes. Qualifications Strong organizational, recordkeeping, and communication skills. Basic Microsoft Excel proficiency and willingness to learn new software. Ability to work collaboratively with drivers, dispatchers, schedulers, and management. Dependability, flexibility, and ability to respond to changing operational needs. Valid driver’s license and ability to serve as a backup driver, subject to applicable requirements. Previous experience in transportation operations, fleet maintenance coordination, driver supervision, or a related field is preferred. Schedule and Availability The listed schedule may be reviewed after a reliable and effective operations structure is established, with the first review occurring after 90 days.
