In this role, you will be responsible for assigning rides to drivers, supervising transport operations, and providing support to ensure smooth and efficient patient transfers. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a good understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to communicate effectively with caregivers and patients. This position plays a vital role in ensuring safe, timely, and compassionate transportation for patients requiring non-emergency medical services. Responsibilities Assign transportation rides to drivers based on patient needs, driver availability, and scheduling priorities. Supervise daily transport operations to ensure timely and safe patient pickups and drop-offs. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries, coordinating with caregivers, and ensuring a positive experience. Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers, patients, and healthcare providers to facilitate smooth transportation processes. Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules, driver assignments, and patient information while adhering to privacy standards. Support infection control protocols by ensuring cleanliness and safety during transport activities. Monitor transportation activities to identify and resolve any issues or delays promptly. Collaborate with medical staff and caregivers to understand specific patient needs and special requirements during transport. Qualifications Prior experience in customer service or dispatching is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous for effective communication within healthcare settings. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, caregivers, and drivers. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient safety and comfort. Basic computer skills for scheduling, record keeping, and communication purposes. Understanding of infection control practices related to transportation services is desirable.
