What You'll Do: Source and order parts fast, because a tech waiting on parts is a tech not billing. Get the best price and still get it here today. Chase down cores, returns, and warranty credits like they owe you money. (They do.) Keep the inventory honest. If the computer says we have 4, we have 4. Talk vendors down off the ledge and get techs what they need before they have to ask twice. Protect parts margin. Every dollar counts, and you'll be the one counting. Requirements: 2+ years in automotive parts, either at a shop parts counter or a parts store. Can read a VIN, a parts catalog, and a tech's handwriting. (That last one is the hard part.) Shop management software experience. Tekmetric is a plus. Organized to the point your friends find it a little weird. Stays calm when three techs, two vendors, and one delivery driver all need you right now. A sense of humor for the day the box says "fits all models" and it doesn't.
