Generators of HoustonOverview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Parts/Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for overseeing generator parts inventory, supporting supply chain operations, and ensuring efficient warehouse processes. You will help streamline parts sourcing, order fulfillment, and inventory control, contributing to exceptional customer service and operational excellence. Duties Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels using inventory management systems and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software Assist with parts sourcing, procurement management, and supplier negotiations to ensure timely availability of generator parts and accessories Support logistics operations including shipping & receiving, order processing, and warehouse management to optimize supply chain flow Conduct regular inventory audits, stock replenishment, and parts administration to prevent shortages or overstock situations Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to handle parts movement and storage Collaborate with internal teams on demand planning, pricing strategies, and internal communication to improve overall supply chain efficiency Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics inventory management, or parts administration within an automotive or manufacturing setting Familiarity with inventory management systems, ERP platforms, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and order management systems Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently while maintaining detailed records of shipping & receiving activities Mechanical knowledge related to automotive diagnostics or auto body repair is highly desirable Valid forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment safely Excellent negotiation skills for sourcing parts and managing supplier relationships Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and communication purposes Join us in a role that combines technical expertise with operational excellence!
