709-639-2312Parts Technician - Competition #JCL160 JCL Investments is a leading heavy civil construction company with a diversified fleet of construction equipment and a fully equipped maintenance facility in Corner Brook, NL. We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Technician to support our operations by sourcing, receiving, tracking, and distributing equipment parts and project materials. This position plays a key role in ensuring our mechanics, equipment operators, and project teams have the parts and materials they need to keep projects moving safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Parts & Materials Procurement Source and order parts for a wide range of heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and support vehicles. Procure construction materials, consumables, tools, and supplies required for ongoing projects. Obtain quotations and compare pricing, availability, and delivery schedules from suppliers. Maintain strong working relationships with vendors and suppliers. Purchasing & Inventory Control Create and issue purchase orders for parts, materials, and services. Track purchase orders and follow up on outstanding deliveries. Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records. Monitor stock levels and recommend inventory replenishment as required. Assist with inventory counts and inventory control initiatives. Receiving & Shipping Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities, condition, and accuracy against purchase orders. Process receiving documentation and enter inventory transactions. Organize and store parts and materials in designated locations. Coordinate and prepare shipments of parts, materials, and supplies to project sites and remote operations. Arrange freight and transportation logistics as required. Operational Support Work closely with mechanics, shop personnel, project managers, foremen, and site supervisors to identify parts and material requirements. Assist in locating and identifying equipment components using parts manuals, electronic catalogs, and manufacturer resources. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and parts area. Support continuous improvements in inventory and procurement processes. Required Skills and Qualifications · Experience in parts, purchasing, warehouse, or inventory management. · Experience in the heavy equipment, trucking, construction, mining, or industrial sector preferred. · Strong knowledge of construction equipment and mechanical components. · Proficiency with computer systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office applications. · Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. · Valid driver's license.
