Parts Technician
Westvac Industrial Ltd.Job Title: Parts Technician – Acheson, Alberta We are looking for an experienced Parts Technician to join our team in Acheson Alberta. Responsibilities: Provide front-counter customer service and assist customers with their parts and supply needs. Build and maintain good customer relationships while representing Westvac Industrial Ltd. in a professional manner. Keep customer profiles and contact information up to date. Prepare quotes and process customer orders received by walk-in, email, or phone. Help retail customers and internal staff select the appropriate parts, supplies, and materials for their needs. Source quality parts and supplies at competitive prices. Maintain an organized parts inventory and ensure parts and supplies are readily available when needed. Process work orders and maintain accurate parts quantities, varieties, and locations using Intellidealer/CDK. Perform other parts-related duties and provide coverage as needed. Requirements & Skills: A journeyman certification as a parts technician. Computer literacy and knowledge of office software programs. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong record-keeping skills, and attention to detail. Mechanical knowledge or previous industrial equipment, or related parts experience. Current /previous experience /certification in forklift operation. Related Physical & Safety Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment components, parts, and tools weighing up to 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 150 lbs. independently. Bending, climbing stairs, and stepladders intermittently, and standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. Tolerance for exposure to environmental elements during work. Proficient with equipment operation, such as a forklift, as well as various tools. Adherence to safety policies, training procedures, and PPE requirements. Employment Type: Westvac operates and is open standard Monday–Friday business hours. The position is fulltime and the requirement is to work between the hours of 8:00 – 4:30 (with 30 minutes for lunch, unpaid). Class 5 driver’s license and a recent drivers abstract are required. Reimbursement is available for costs associated with acquiring drivers abstracts. A CSA Approved work boot allowance is also available.
