Parts Store Manager / Primary Point of Contact
ConfidentialAbout the Position The Parts Store Manager will provide hands-on leadership for daily parts operations, customer service, inventory management, purchasing, supplier coordination, and delivery support. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of automotive and heavy-equipment parts and can effectively support customers who depend on accurate and timely parts sourcing. Responsibilities Manage daily parts-store operations and customer service. Lead and support parts-counter personnel. Research and identify automotive, fleet, and equipment parts. Use manufacturer catalogs, databases, and other resources to identify appropriate parts. Research OEM and aftermarket options. Process parts orders, special orders, backorders, returns, and warranties. Maintain accurate inventory and transaction records. Monitor inventory levels and replenishment needs. Coordinate with vendors and parts suppliers. Assist customers with parts identification and sourcing. Coordinate deliveries and time-sensitive parts requirements. Maintain organized and professional work areas. Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping. Support quality-control and operational procedures. Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, employees, and management. Ensure operations are conducted safely and in accordance with applicable policies and requirements. Qualifications Previous experience managing or leading an automotive, fleet, equipment, industrial, or parts operation. Strong knowledge of automotive or heavy-equipment parts. Experience with parts catalogs and part-number research. Experience with OEM and aftermarket parts. Inventory-management experience. Strong customer-service and communication skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with computers and inventory or parts-management systems. Ability to work independently and lead a team. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently. Automotive, fleet, dealership, military, government and heavy-equipment parts experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting maintenance or repair operations. Experience with inventory/POS systems. Supervisory or store-management experience. Experience with commercial or Government customers.
