Parts Sales

Job Summary: The Parts Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers in identifying, selecting, and purchasing the correct parts and accessories for outdoor power equipment, including lawn mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, generators, and compact tractors. This role combines product knowledge, customer service, and accurate parts lookup to ensure a positive buying experience, while supporting inventory management and store operations. Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities: Greet customers promptly and professionally. Assist customers with loading and unloading outdoor power equipment, including lawn mowers, tractors, chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, generators, and similar products. Answer general product questions and direct customers to knowledgeable sales associates as needed. Provide helpful, friendly support to enhance customer experience. Offload new equipment off trucks Inspect for damages, and note with photographs at time of offload Assist customers in unloading or loading equipment Organize back lot for quicker efficiency Clean off equipment for pickup and delivery Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Competencies: Basic knowledge of equipment being sold Excellent communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Other duties, as assigned by management. Preferred Skills: Basic mechanical aptitude; knowledge of small engines and outdoor power equipment maintenance Familiarity with leading brands (e.g., Hustler, Toro, STIHL, Kubota) Familiarity with dealership parts systems and ordering processes Tools, Systems & Equipment Used: Forklift (certification required) Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred At least two years’ related experience required Work Environment: Indoor showroom and outdoor lot area Exposure to varying weather conditions when assisting customers outdoors or moving equipment Noise level may vary due to running equipment demonstrations, or in service areas Must adhere to all safety protocols when handling and demonstrating equipment Regular exposure to dust, fumes, grease, gas, oil, and other airborne particles commonly found in a repair setting. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift, carry and move up to 50 pounds Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to assist customers and handle equipment Manual dexterity to operate equipment controls and perform basic demonstrations Travel: This role may be temporarily assigned to an alternate location, as business needs demand Employment is contingent on background check.
