Parts Runner / Shop Hand Heavy Duty Truck & Trailer Division Location: Acheson AB Position Type: Part-Time to Full-Time (30-40 Hours per Week) Compensation: $17.00 per hour Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Parts Runner / Shop Hand to support our Heavy Duty Truck and Trailer service department. This position is responsible for picking up and delivering parts, assisting technicians, maintaining shop organization, and helping ensure the daily operations of the shop run efficiently. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced truck and trailer repair environment. Responsibilities Pick up and deliver parts, supplies, and materials from vendors and customers as required. Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking parts inventory. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, yard, and parts areas. Support technicians with general shop duties and material handling. Assist with vehicle inspections, moving units around the yard, and other non-technical tasks. Load and unload parts, tools, and equipment safely. Dispose of waste materials and maintain a safe work environment. Complete delivery documentation and other basic paperwork as required. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence with personal insurance coverage. Clean driver's abstract with a minimum of five (5) years of safe driving history. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks. Strong organizational and time management skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Previous experience in the trucking, transportation, automotive, or heavy equipment industry is considered an asset. Forklift experience is an asset but not required. Working Conditions 30 to 40 hours per week. Combination of indoor shop work and outdoor yard duties. Occasional lifting, bending, standing, and walking throughout the workday. Fast-paced environment supporting truck and trailer repair operations. Only candidates meeting the driver's licence and driver's abstract requirements will be considered.
