Parts Manager

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Parts Manager to oversee the parts department within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, supplier relationships, and ensuring that all parts are available to meet the needs of our service department and customers. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers. Responsibilities Manage the overall operations of the parts department, ensuring efficient inventory control and management. Oversee shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of parts. Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing for parts and equipment. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, orders, and shipments. Collaborate with the service department to ensure that all necessary parts are available for auto repair and equipment repair tasks. Implement effective inventory management systems to optimize stock levels and reduce waste. Supervise department operations, including organizing parts storage and maintaining cleanliness. Train and mentor staff within the parts department to enhance their skills and performance. Skills Proficiency in inventory control systems and management practices. Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record in supplier management. Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse environment. Familiarity with auto repair techniques and equipment repair processes is highly desirable. Experience working in a dealership setting is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
