Parts Manager

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Parts Manager to lead our parts department with enthusiasm and precision. Responsibilities Manage the entire parts inventory lifecycle, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution to ensure availability and accuracy. Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems to track inventory levels, process data entry tasks, and generate reports for management review. Develop and implement procurement strategies by sourcing quality parts at competitive prices while maintaining strong supplier relationships through negotiation. Coordinate with manufacturing or service teams to forecast demand planning needs based on upcoming projects or repairs. Oversee the use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools to streamline maintenance parts management and improve workflow efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to handling mechanical components, HVAC parts, or other specialized equipment like forklifts. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting internal teams and external clients with parts inquiries, order status updates, and technical support when needed. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive or industrial parts management is highly preferred. Strong data entry skills combined with experience using ERP systems and supply chain software to manage inventory accurately. Demonstrated ability in purchasing, sourcing, and negotiation to secure optimal pricing and delivery terms from suppliers. Knowledge of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, HVAC components, and related technical specifications. Familiarity with demand planning techniques and procurement strategies to ensure stock levels meet operational needs without excess inventory. Certification or experience with forklift operation, CMMS platforms, or other relevant tools is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and communication within a team environment.
