Duties Manage the entire parts inventory system, including ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution to ensure optimal stock levels. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times, and sourcing strategies that benefit the company. Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and inventory management software such as AS400 or similar platforms to track parts movement accurately. Coordinate with automotive service teams to understand parts requirements, forecast demand through demand planning techniques, and ensure timely availability of parts. Oversee shipping & receiving processes, including logistics inventory management and shipping schedules to streamline operations. Conduct regular audits of warehouse management practices to optimize space utilization and inventory control. Implement procurement management strategies aligned with manufacturing needs, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards, and internal requisitions. Lead parts administration activities such as data entry, pricing updates, and parts sourcing initiatives while maintaining high standards of customer service. Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to equipment repair (including forklift operation), HVAC systems, and other warehouse activities. Collaborate with internal communication channels to facilitate smooth information flow across departments regarding parts availability and order status. Qualifications Proven experience in supply chain management within the automotive or manufacturing industry. Strong supplier management experience with negotiation skills that maximize value for the organization. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems, auto body repair processes, and OEM parts sourcing. Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control tools, ERP systems like AS400 or equivalent platforms. Familiarity with logistics inventory management practices including shipping & receiving procedures. Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts safely; certification preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive parts and accessories is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for data entry, reporting, and communication purposes. Excellent internal communication skills to coordinate effectively across departments including sales, procurement, and service teams. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in demand planning, pricing strategies, and procurement activities.
