Duties Manage parts inventory levels, ordering, and stock organization to ensure availability for repairs and maintenance. Assist customers in selecting the correct parts and accessories, providing expert advice on vehicle needs. Upsell additional services or parts that enhance vehicle performance or safety, maximizing customer satisfaction and dealership revenue. Collaborate closely with service technicians to estimate repair costs using estimating software and facilitate efficient workflow. Write detailed service orders, including descriptions of repairs such as brake repair, suspension work, oil changes, tire service, shocks & struts, air brake systems, transmissions, and collision repair estimates. Communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and estimated completion times. Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a professional attitude during busy periods. Support the service department by providing mechanical insights based on your automotive diagnostics experience and mechanical knowledge. Experience Proven dealership experience in automotive parts management or service advising is highly preferred. Strong background in automotive diagnostics, mechanical repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance practices. Familiarity with estimating software tools used for auto service management and damage estimating (e.g., computer-aided vehicle damage estimating). Experience in auto estimating and service writing to ensure accurate invoicing and customer communication. Knowledge of collision repair processes and automotive service standards across various vehicle systems including transmissions, suspension, brakes, tires, shocks & struts, air brakes, and oil changes. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about their vehicle needs. Ability to upsell effectively while maintaining integrity and trust with customers.
