Parts Manager — World of Powersports Springfield World of Powersports is a four-store powersports dealer group in Central Illinois: Decatur, Springfield, Peoria and Champaign. We sell and service ATVs, side-by-sides, motorcycles and personal watercraft. Our Springfield store at 3230 Atlanta St is hiring a Parts Manager to run parts, accessories, apparel and gear (PG&A). This job covers the counter, the inventory and the people. You'll coach a parts team, keep the right parts on the shelf, get special orders to customers fast, and build the accessory sales that go with every unit we deliver. PAY $40,000–$54,000 a year: base salary plus monthly commission on department gross profit. SCHEDULE Tuesday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, in by 8:30 AM. In person. WHAT YOU'LL DO Lead the parts team. Hold a daily staff meeting on yesterday's sales, coach line items and average ticket, and train on product knowledge and the sales process every day, with a group session every week. Grow accessory sales. Partner with Sales so every unit leaves with accessories and gear. You'll be measured on attachment rate (80% target) and dollars per unit sold. Own the inventory. Run reorder reports twice a week and set min/max on fast movers, targeting four turns a year. Fix exceptions such as negative on-hand and negative margins, and send aged parts back to the manufacturer. Run special orders and backorders. Collect a deposit before anything is ordered. Keep customers updated, call when parts arrive, and clear anything older than 30 days. Handle returns the same day. Work vendor and manufacturer returns, receiving issues and pricing with Shipping & Receiving and the Service Manager. Work the vendors. Build relationships with OEMs and aftermarket distributors, and negotiate pricing, terms and fill rates. Support the shop. Have parts pulled and staged for scheduled service work so techs never wait. Keep the store sharp. Clean counter, fresh displays, merchandised apparel and helmets. Report the numbers. Post daily sales to the store board, follow up with customers on large purchases, and work with the GM on promotions, open houses and OEM programs. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required: At least 1 year at a powersports, motorcycle, automotive or marine parts counter Experience leading or training people Comfortable in a dealer management system and OEM parts catalogs. We use Lightspeed.
