Parts Manager

The team at Coastline is looking to hire a Parts Manager at their Sylmar, CA branch. Key Responsibilities: Process Management: Develop, communicate, enforce, and monitor effective Parts Department processes to ensure customer satisfaction. Promotion and Merchandising: Promote and merchandise parts and accessories across store locations. Goal Setting and Budgeting: Create annual Parts Department goals and budget aligned with organizational objectives. Marketing Plan Execution: Develop and execute the Parts Department marketing plan, monitoring monthly to achieve goals. Inventory Control: Maintain an accurate parts inventory control system, including physical inventory and counter procedures. Warranty and Claims: Submit parts warranty and return claims within required time frames for maximum credit. Order Discount Programs: Maximize use of order discount programs to achieve stock order goals. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all department tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order. Supervision: Supervise Parts Counter Salesperson, Parts & Service outside sales Representative, and other Parts staff. Recruiting and Development: Manage recruiting, staffing, and employee development activities for reporting employees. Required Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Parts Department Experience: 5+ years of experience in Parts Department operations. Financial Understanding: Basic understanding of financial principles related to Parts Department operations. Software Proficiency: Ability to use standard desktop applications like Microsoft Office and internet functions. Report Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports. Communication Skills: Effective writing and speaking skills for individuals and groups. Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills. Leadership: Experience leading a team and developing member’s professional skills. Physical Requirements Driving: Must be able to drive and travel in a vehicle. For the purposes of driving, must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Work Flexibility: Ability to work extended hours and weekends. Physical Demands: Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. May occasionally require standing or moving between office areas. What We Offer: Salary: $85,000-$100,000 per year (The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this position, and the individual hourly rate will be based on skills, qualifications, and experience) .
