Parts Manager

Maintain and organize an efficient warehouse environment. Maintain proper inventory mix, levels, standards and security. Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence Develop and administer a wholesale parts program to produce profit. Direct shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing. Implement procedures to ensure there are positive working relationships with other departments. Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service department. Attend managers' meetings as scheduled. Understand and keep abreast of, and comply with, federal, state and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right-to-know, safety regulations, etc. Establish and maintain good customer working relationships to encourage repeat and referral business. Establish and maintain good working relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activities. Serve as a liaison with factory representatives. Handle all customer complaints. Assist in the collection of past-due accounts. Ensure that work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean. Requirements 1-2 years of Parts Management experience or equivalent Strong skills in sourcing, negotiating, and procurement processes. Familiarity with inventory control systems and practices. Proficient in AS400 or similar inventory management software. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and suppliers. Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes. The ability to fabricate parts when necessary is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
