Parts Inventory Clerk
Pan-O-Gold BakingJob Summary Manage inventory system as it pertains to purchasing, receiving, tracking and inventory of maintenance parts. Maintain organization of parts area in accordance with Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices. Work closely with suppliers, mechanics, maintenance supervisor, maintenance manager and other supervisors to assure adequate inventory of all parts, equipment, and tools. Qualifications: (The following are preferred) · Previous inventory experience · Team Player and Team Builder · Working knowledge of parts inventory programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access · Forklift and motorized pallet jack certified · Possess strong verbal and written communication skills · Excellent organizational skill with a high degree of initiative and flexibility · Exemplary attendance record Key Responsibilities include: (minimum requirements) · Follow safe work practices · Adhere to all purchasing and inventory policies and procedures · Parts data entry: includes generation and completion of PM’s, work orders, weekly reports and inventory control · Purchasing: includes generation of purchase request, purchase orders, expense tracking, and parts receiving · Vendor relations: includes price negotiation, price verification, delivery of orders, and new vendor setups · Effective communication with co-workers to assure time sensitive issues as it relates to parts and work orders · Inventory control: includes restocking, inventory, organization and standardization of parts, tools and equipment · Clerical: includes TPM record keeping; maintenance files and organization, housekeeping and other assigned duties · Timely and accurately completing all assigned duties and documentation Physical Requirements: ( Must be able to do the following) · Stand for long periods of time while working with and around machinery. · Sit for prolonged periods · Negotiate stairs while carrying packages up to 50 pounds · Able to stoop, bend and crouch on a regular basis to check equipment or supplies in low-lying areas. · Able to raise arms overhead while lifting up to 30 pounds.
