Parts Inventory and Procurement Clerk

Parts Inventory & Procurement Clerk Position Summary The Parts Inventory & Procurement Clerk is responsible for supporting parts inventory management, procurement activities, customer service, and warehouse organization. This position ensures timely acquisition, accurate tracking, and efficient distribution of parts while maintaining inventory records, vendor relationships, and safe work practices. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Assist customers in person and by phone with identifying and locating required parts. Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to ensure parts availability. Organize, label, and store parts in accordance with company procedures. Procure parts and materials based on operational needs and inventory requirements. Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, delivery schedules, and order status. Prepare, process, and track purchase orders and related procurement documentation. Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and completeness. Process returns, warranty claims, and exchanges for damaged, defective, or incorrect parts. Coordinate the distribution of parts to internal departments and external customers. Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment activities. Maintain organized storage areas and comply with safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Five (5) or more years of relevant inventory, procurement, automotive, heavy equipment, or related experience. Valid driver's license. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with inventory management systems and computer applications. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb, and reach as required.
