Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence. As a Parts Inventory Analyst , you will be responsible for supporting Inventory Management systems and processes through data analysis, reporting, and business process support. You will manage key inventory planning processes, provide analytical and system support for planning tools, and partner with business and IT teams to identify improvements, resolve operational challenges, and support system enhancements. You will also leverage SAS to analyze data, develop reporting solutions, and provide insights that support inventory and planning decisions. Additional Information: This role is located in Morton, IL and does not offer relocation. This role is 1st shift, Monday – Friday. This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules. This role requires up to 10% domestic travel. What You Will Do: Manage and support global kitting and fixed demand planning processes. Provide business architecture support for DFIP, DRP, and Deployment systems. Perform ad hoc analysis and develop data-driven recommendations to support business decisions. Utilize SAS extensively to analyze inventory, service, replenishment, and operational performance data. Develop automated solutions and reporting tools to improve process efficiency and data quality. Lead testing, validation, and business readiness activities for system enhancements and process changes. Investigate process exceptions and develop business workarounds to support operational continuity. Partner with Demand Planning, Deployment, DRP, IT, and Distribution teams to implement business improvements. Support ERP and system conversion initiatives, including testing, onboarding, and user acceptance activities. Maintain process documentation, controls, and governance for supported business processes. Provide advanced user support, training, and troubleshooting for planning and inventory management systems. Communicate analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
