This position involves a combination of driving and warehouse responsibilities, with duties assigned based on the operational needs of the department.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver automotive parts and supplies to local customers, repair facilities, and other designated locations in a safe and timely manner.
• Pick up parts, supplies, and other materials from vendors and suppliers as required.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload parts safely to prevent damage during transportation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained delivery vehicle.
• Complete delivery and pickup documentation accurately.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers, suppliers, and business partners.
• Actively participate in warehouse operations, including picking, packing, organizing, and preparing parts for orders.
• Assist with loading and unloading shipments and parts deliveries.
• Receive incoming parts and shipments and ensure they are properly organized and stored.
• Receive engines, transmissions, and other major components, properly tag them with the applicable repair order number, and notify the Service Department upon arrival.
• Retrieve and deliver tires from designated storage areas to technicians as required.
• Assist with loading and unloading tire-storage trucks during peak tire season.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe parts storage and shipping areas.
• Assist with moving, organizing, and storing automotive parts and supplies.
• Operate a forklift, dolly, and pump truck safely and responsibly.
• Help maintain a tidy and organized work environment, including light cleaning of the warehouse, Parts Department, and delivery vehicles.
• Assist with inventory preparation, bin checks, annual physical inventory, and department clean-ups.
• Dispose of garbage and cardboard and maintain a clean and professional work environment.
• Work outdoors when required and in various weather conditions.
• Perform driving or warehouse duties as assigned based on departmental requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Parts Department management.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Valid Ontario Full G Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record.
• Valid forklift certification is required.
• Previous experience as a parts driver, delivery driver, warehouse associate, or in an automotive dealership is considered an asset.
• Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to road safety.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Professional and courteous communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically capable of lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading automotive parts.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to operate a dolly and pump truck safely.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Willingness to perform both driving and warehouse duties as required.
