Role Summary Ourisman Chevrolet of Marlow Heights is seeking an experienced and organized Parts Director to led the operations of our parts department. The ideal candidate is a strong operational leader who understands GM parts operations, inventory management, wholesale and retail growth, technician support, expense control, and parts obsolescence. This position is responsible for building a profitable parts operation while maintaining the right inventory to support our customers and Service Department. More about the role Direct all daily Parts Department operations Manage parts inventory, purchasing, stocking levels, returns, and special orders Monitor and reduce aged and obsolete inventory Maintain appropriate inventory depth while controlling excess stock Support Service Department productivity by improving parts availability and fill rates Develop retail, internal, warranty, and wholesale parts sales Monitor departmental gross profit, expenses, productivity, and overall profitability Establish pricing strategies and maintain competitive margins Ensure compliance with GM policies, programs, and dealership procedures Manage manufacturer orders, returns, incentives, and parts programs Track departmental KPIs and prepare performance reports for dealership leadership Recruit, train, coach, and motivate Parts Department employees Maintain accurate inventory and conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories Work closely with the Service Director, technicians, advisors, accounting, and dealership management Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers What we look for Previous automotive Parts Manager or Parts Director experience required Chevrolet/General Motors dealership experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of dealership parts inventory management Demonstrated ability to control obsolescence and inventory investment Strong financial and analytical skills Experience managing departmental gross profit and expenses Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Familiarity with dealership management systems and electronic parts catalogs Valid driver's license Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance options Short-term and Long-term disability insurance 401(k) plan with company match Paid time off and holiday leave Opportunities for professional development and growth Ourisman Automotive Group is an equal opportunity employer.
