Parts Counter Person

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented mechanic for our Parts Counter Person position. The candidate must have worked in a Truck and/or Heavy Equipment shop as a mechanic in order to qualify for this position. All training for this position will be on-the-job, which is why trade experience as a mechanic is a must. This position is for a mechanic looking to get off the floor and into the Parts Department. This role requires strong organizational skills, a proactive approach, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Process shop paperwork including purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, work orders, etc. Work closely with truck and heavy equipment Mechanics and Operators. Source parts and supplies for equipment and business requirements. Maintain inventory levels working closely with shop and dispatch team. Operate a forklift to load and unload orders (training provided). Assist in yard organization. Experience Must have at least 5 years of experience as a mechanic in a Truck repair shop or a Heavy Equipment repair shop. Solid computer skills and ability to learn new software a must. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
