Parts Counter Person
St. Andrews Parts &St. Andrews Parts and Power is a Lawn and Garden Equipment company and requires a Parts Counter person. In this fast-paced position you are responsible for assisting customers in finding the appropriate parts and accessories for their lawn and garden equipment, receive stock, look up & order parts, plus help with Sales. Experience Parts counter: 1 year (Preferred) or equivalent training Outdoor Power Equipment repair or maintenance familiarity (an asset) Duties Manage parts inquires and process orders by phone, email or in person Provide customers with up-to-date pricing and quotes Confirm product inventory and availability Research replacement part numbers and suitable alternatives Process invoices and receive payments from retail customers Communicate with purchaser regarding re-stocking low items Provide Service Technicians with parts as required Light duty work keeping store tidy and stocking shelves Requirements Small engine parts / components knowledge (an asset) Willingness to work occasional Saturdays Organized individual with aattention to detail and capability to multi-task necessary Awareness of deadlines and able to meet them Strong written and oral communication skills as well as professional telephone manner Ability to learn Ideal Inventory Computer Software Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Valid driver’s license Ability to drive a forklift (an asset) Must have no limitations to physically lift 50-70 lbs. Absolutely must be able to ascend/descend steeper than household staircase Position hours : 80hrs / bi-weekly Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm (with 30 minute unpaid lunch) Occasional Saturday (9am – 3:00pm) We will contact only those selected for an interview Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits: Casual dress Extended health care On-site parking Store discount Application question(s): Will you be able to reliably commute to St. Andrews as there is no public transit.
