Parts Counter Associate — Full Time

Job Overview Krebs Kubota, one of Middle Tennessee’s leading dealers in agricultural, construction, and turf equipment, is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Full-Time Parts Counter Associate to join our team at our Columbia location. This role plays a critical part in keeping customers and technicians productive by ensuring the right parts are identified, stocked, and delivered quickly and accurately. We are looking for someone who takes pride in reliability, attention to detail, and helping customers get the job done right. This role emphasizes supporting and growing our STIHL product line, including trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, batteries, accessories, and related parts. This position is based in Columbia, with occasional travel to Franklin or Murfreesboro for training or operational support as needed. Responsibilities Utilize dealership software, manufacturer electronic parts catalogs, phone systems, text messaging, and online communication tools to assist customers and process orders. Support service technicians by fulfilling parts requests quickly and accurately to minimize equipment downtime. Assist customers in identifying the correct parts, accessories, and maintenance items while providing recommendations that improve equipment performance and reliability. Research and process orders using parts lookup systems, illustrated parts catalogs, and manufacturer resources. Deliver friendly, professional customer service while building long-term customer relationships through responsiveness, product knowledge, and attention to detail. Maintain organized inventory through cycle counts, stock checks, receiving procedures, and inventory accuracy initiatives. Promote preventative maintenance by recommending filters, fluids, service kits, trimmer line, chains, bar oil, batteries, and other products that help reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Serve as a product resource for Kubota, STIHL, and other supported product lines by educating customers on maintenance requirements, product selection, and equipment operation. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized parts department and stockroom while working closely with team members across departments to support daily operations. Stay current on product knowledge and successfully complete manufacturer training programs, including Kubota, STIHL, and other assigned certifications. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturday coverage from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year experience in a parts department, retail, warehouse, or similar customer-facing environment Strong attention to detail and ability to work with speed and accuracy in a fast-paced setting Reliable attendance and punctuality Comfortable using computers, parts lookup systems, and point-of-sale software Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build customer relationships and identify customer needs. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods Willingness to learn and complete manufacturer training programs Familiarity with Kubota, STIHL, or similar equipment is a plus, but not required Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching Ability to work in a warehouse and retail environment Comfortable working in varying temperatures Why Join Krebs Kubota?
