Parts Counter Associate

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Parts Counter Associate to join our automotive team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and assisting customers with their parts needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of automotive parts and services. Experience in dealership environments or retail sales is preferred. This position offers an engaging work environment where you will play a key role in supporting vehicle maintenance and repair operations. Responsibilities Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories Manage inventory levels, stock parts efficiently, and perform inventory control tasks Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, cash handling, and order fulfillment Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Excel and CMMS software Provide technical support related to automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair procedures Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and provide excellent customer service Collaborate with sales management to promote products and services effectively Support marketing efforts by engaging customers and promoting special offers or new products Ensure the showroom and stock areas are organized, clean, and well-maintained Process returns, exchanges, and warranty claims as needed Qualifications Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, or automotive service preferred Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and stock control Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Familiarity with CMMS, POS systems, retail math, and retail sales processes Ability to negotiate effectively with customers and suppliers Knowledge of dealership operations or dealership experience is advantageous Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic math skills for inventory calculations Experience with automotive parts ordering, stocking, and maintenance procedures Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanor Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks This position is integral to our operations, ensuring customer satisfaction through knowledgeable assistance and efficient parts management.
