Parts Counter Associate

Job Overview As a Parts Counter Associate, you’ll help customers and service teams find the right automotive parts and accessories. You’ll combine customer service, product knowledge, and accurate inventory practices to keep orders moving and support a smooth service experience. Dealership experience is helpful; familiarity with automotive parts management systems is an asset. Duties Assist customers at the counter and by phone; ask clear questions to identify needs and recommend suitable parts. Your impact: Accurate recommendations and order fulfillment help customers and technicians get the parts they need to complete repairs and maintenance. Process sales and payments using point-of-sale (POS) systems; handle cash and maintain accurate transaction records. Receive, stock, organize, and track parts; support inventory control and management, including through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), where used. Coordinate orders, communicate with suppliers and service teams, and use negotiation and sales skills to resolve availability or pricing questions. Deliver/retrieve Parts form other dealerships/Local Shops Skills Essential: Customer service, communication, client relationship building, phone etiquette, organizational skills, math, retail math, cashiering, cash handling, and order fulfillment. Essential: Knowledge of automotive parts and accessories, vehicle systems, maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting; ability to apply automotive diagnostics and repair knowledge when identifying parts. Preferred: Automotive parts sales, retail sales, sales management, vehicle maintenance, automotive service, dealership experience, and inventory management. Preferred: Microsoft Office, POS, CMMS, stocking, and inventory control experience. Bilingual or multilingual communication is an asset.
